WHAT WERE YOU DOING AT 6 A.M. THIS MORNING?
Every year, Camp Geiger has a tradition called the "Mile Swim" that takes place at 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning. To get ready, those participating have been getting up every morning at 5:30 a.m. and hiking to the pool to swim practice laps. But today, practice was over. It was game time!

At Geiger, a mile measures 26 laps around the circumference of the pool. Not laps back and forth - around. It's no easy task and usually, we only have 1 or 2 troop members try to tackle it each year. But this morning, we had four!

First year scouts Sam and Alex set the pace for the whole pool early and finished in just over 35 minutes followed closely by first year Dads Mr. Spence and Mr. Wawczak. They were all the class of the pool and did Troop 451 very proud.

For completing the Mile Swim, the boys will get a very cool patch at the closing awards ceremony Saturday morning. The Dads got their very own oxygen tanks.
